There are lots of opportunities for that in Nagyvárad, and I am happy to share some information with you right now. Et me start with football, the most popular sport worldwide, the case being the same in Nagyvárad where you can find five large and well-equipped fields including the Fc Bihor Stadium on Olimpiadei Street, the FC Vointea Stadium on G. Baritiu Street. Furthermore, there is a football-field in the Municipal Sports Hall on Cazaban Street, and one more on the campus of the State University on the Romanian Army Avenue. Finally, there is also a large and nice field near the Zoo on Goga Street where the other sports hall of the city is located. In addition, there are fields in the courtyard of every high school. If you are lucky, they might let you in. If you don’t like playing football, you can still watch the weekly matches which usually start at 11 o’clock.In case you are a tennis fan, you are the person at the right place at the right time. There are ten fields, four at the House of Children on Berzei Street and four near the Museum on Dacia Avenue. You cannot miss it. The other two are near our University in the Vointa Stadium.Do you fancy basketball? No problem...you can go to two sports halls to enjoy yourselves. You can also try yourself out at the Sprite Street Ball Championship where all the best players from Nagyvárad compete for the mighty first spot. It is a tough competition and even the best are uncertain about competing or not, but don’t worry: you are good enough! It is held every year in May, so you have enough time to practice.And if you are a speed maniac and you missed your last speed dose, I can solve your problem. There is a Go Cart track at the House of Children. It is small, tricky and difficult, but at least you can drive your mind out!I hope I managed to fill you in. Well here are a few tips and pieces of advice for you:Get used to the idea that from now on you are going to sleep 20 hours...per week.Good news! The high school hasn’t finished yet. Here you have the opportunity to continue your way of learning. You will have to do homework for every day; and write tests... at least one every week.From now on the dictionary will be your Bible.You will have a busy schedule: from Monday till Friday you will have classes from 8 AM. to 8 PM., in the weekends you will have enough to learn.You will have the opportunity to know the building because you’ll be here more than anywhere else.Don't be too curious about what exams are like! You might take them twice.We have some good news as well. The University has Internet and a nice lab where you have free access to it. BUT don’t raise your hopes! The lab is always full. We can access Internet in our phonetics lab as well, but not during the lessons. On other occasions the lab is closed.Your teachers will be human beings, who drink,smoke, dance and even sing at parties. But keep in mind what you have read at point number 6!If you are thinking of skipping a few seminars or courses…. Forget about it.
