Yes, I know some don’t believe it but a new academic year has definitely started. As it is usual we have fresh comrades. Welcome and good luck! Old comrades, I hope you are ready for the next doses of studies; the show goes on and on. So does The Magnifier, too, but with a completely new staff.

We are all sophomores and would like to thank our predecessors for their work. We really enjoyed their articles, and we try to keep up the level and carry on with new ideas. We hope that they will remain with us at least as readers and find what they expect from this magazine.

Of the old columns only Did You Know remained but we also have articles on sports and films. In fact we don’t really have divided columns in the classical sense but we’ve kept everything we considered important. As for the poems, drawings and any other pieces of work that you might send us we will go on publishing them. Don’t hesitate, you can write as well!

But let’s not forget about the changes. The most visible one is the cover page. I can’t count the number of requests to somehow develop the cover. What you see now is a refurbishing of the old values, I hope everybody is satisfied with it, I am . Inside the cover you can read more about history, even politics, and Uff! has come to introduce you to the world of American native languages.

My only remaining task is to warn you! Once you take The Magnifier in your hands, you are not allowed to put it down until you’ve read it to the last word. Yes, now that you are reading these lines, it’s too late! Don’t even try... we have cameras all over.
